OUR TEAM

Daniel Quindemil is founder of I AM Builders. He is a Licensed General Contractor with over 10 years of experience in the design and construction field.

He started I AM Builders in 2015 with a vision of changing the construction industry. When he was in the field he realized contractors were busy and didn’t have time to focus on the important parts of their business like estimating and sales, so he launched I AM Builders to help busy contractors.

He has a Bachelor Degree in Architecture, LEED Certified, a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators, and has been part of some notable projects for Bacardi, University of Miami, Private Developers, and most recently the US Embassy in Jerusalem.

Daniel manages our team which includes professional engineers, architects, and civil engineers. Everyone at I AM Builders has a background in construction and has actual field experience and professional training.

We use a Double Verification system where our Estimators perform the estimates and our Senior team which reviews and finalizes. This ensures you get a minimum of two sets of eyes on your project and two opinions regarding pricing and takeoffs.

Our team is made up of construction professionals with actual field experience. Many of our team were either Project Managers or Superintendents so they bring those years of expertise to your bids. It’s not just theory.

That’s why were are also able to work with conceptual and projects in the drawings phase because we have so many projects to reference.

Many times projects required preliminary estimating or budgets when they are in the planning stages. We work with Architects and Developers to build these budgets early on in the process.

This is extremely valuable for making design and financial decisions on projects. Since we’ve worked with so many types of projects, we are able to conceptually estimate projects when the final decisions have not been made yet.

CASE STUDY: How I AM Builders won a $4 Million Hospital New Construction project for the Go2Guy General Contractors

Xavier Miranda, owner of the Go2Guy, is a client of ours and primarily worked on GC and Subcontractor projects. He got this incredible opportunity to bid on their company’s biggest project, Jackson Hospital West in Miami, FL.

Their only issue was the lack of time they had to bid such a big project while still running their other jobs.

Because we had worked on a few jobs with them, they contacted us to help them prepare a bid package. He hired I AM Builder’s construction estimating services to calculate his labor and material including equipment and profit.

I AM Builders estimated the project and adjusted for Davis Bacon Prevailing wage rates. We also assisted in the negotiation and qualification phase on behalf of Go2Guy.

Fast forward several months and Go2Guy WAS AWARDED a $4 Million Contract.

Every project is unique so to get a quote, you can send your plans to info@iambuilders.com. General price ranges for smaller projects can run in the $200-300, mid-sized projects can be in the $400-600 range, and large projects $1000+.
Our pricing is based on a per-project basis, not hourly. Our estimates are perfect for busy contractors that need an “On-Demand” estimate completed. Most contractors bid only a few projects per month and our pricing tends to be more affordable than hiring a full time in-house estimator.

For most projects our delivery is between 6-9 business days. Occasionally larger or more complex projects may take 8-10 or 10-12 business days. We always quote you an estimated timeframe before starting. If you have a rush project needed sooner than 6 days, let us know your bid date and we’ll try to accommodate, or add a small expedite fee to cover overtime costs with a guaranteed date.

Our labor and material pricing comes from Craftsman National Construction Estimator Database Suite which is updated multiple times per year, and pricing is based on your project’s zip code so your bid will be as accurate and competitive as possible.

We use secure Quickbooks Online Payments where you can easily pay with your Credit Card. Once you send us your plans, we’ll send you a Quickbooks Invoice prior to starting for you and your team to review. Our estimates are very accurate and based on your project’s zip code so your pricing will be accurate and competitive. Our estimates are designed as guidelines for you to finalize pricing so you’ll be able to make your final adjustments with the Excel Spreadsheet we send you. You can adjust Supervision, Equipment, Profit, and manually override any of our estimated pricing. Our labor and material costs come from Craftsman National Construction Estimator Database which is updated several times per year. Our estimating team are construction professionals with plenty of field experience and we make adjustments based on factors such as changes to productivity, equipment, etc. For example, if a wall is 20 ft high, we’ll need to include a lift along with slower productivity to adjust the labor price.
Pricing in all regions varies and we used highly accurate cost databases along with field experience to price projects. We carry a $1 Million Accuracy Guarantee covered by our Errors and Omissions Insurance. If we were to ever make a mistake and you lose money on a project, you are completely covered. There will always be a variation in pricing based on the fluctuations in the market, labor shortages or surpluses, and major events that suddenly increase or decrease material or labor pricing.
